| Formally opened on September 23, 1901,
the Cadillac Opera House soon became a standout in the theater world - serving
a wide, wild and appreciative audience throughout the Cadillac area. Original
New York casts, studded with such famous names as "naughty" Eva Tanguay, Elsie
Ferguson, William Farnum, Favorsham (the John Barrymore of his time), and many
others, trod the boards to face some 700 people in the old Cadillac Opera
House. Pen sketch by Fred H. Lamb |
