Hand carved miniature carousel animals

White Jumper - 12" from base to tips of ears   Tiger 6 1/2"  from top of base to top of head (SOLD)
I am glad you stopped by my studio. As you can see I carve a variety of carousel animals, most are around 6-8 inches tall and will fit nicely on a mantle or table. Each one is very special to me.

Armored stander SOLD - 15" base to tips of ears.      Rooster - 7" from base top to top of comb (SOLD)
I have been carving for about 4 years now. Since I was little, I have had a passion for horses, and always wanted a carousel horse for my room. An article in WOOD magazine, by well known carousel horse carver Jerry Reinhardt, truly inspired me to persue making my own. As you can see, I have achieved what I wanted to do. I am now working on a horse that will be about 30" tall when finished. I have been so pleased to have won many blue ribbons in Michigan carving shows over the past three years, and a state award in our county fair.

As a first occupational hobby, about 14 years ago I decided I could tune my own piano instead of having to pay someone to do it, and embarked on a piano tuning education. Graduating from tuning school in 1986, I have been tuning and repairing pianos ever since. The reconditioned piano below is the result of a three year project with another tuning friend, Floyd Fox.
