I took a photo of this tree one day on my walk “around the block” (two miles).  I’m not all that fond of winter, but I do love skeleton trees.

  I used freezer paper piecing, a little machine embroidery, and some of the fabrics are hand dyed. 

The most fun part was using a toy tire covered in fabric paint to simulate tracks of the pickup trucks my neighbors love to drive.
