Trip to Cleveland, Ohio

see yesterday     see tomorrow     go back to schedule

We left Jodie's at 10:21 a.m. & stopped for lunch at the same McD's where we bought ice cream cones last night in Solon.  Since we were dressed in "full square dance attire" including petticoat to show Alexa before we left, several people asked what we were doing.  Some showed interest in coming by to watch for a while but I don't know if any of them did.

We arrived at the dance at 11:50.  A caller's son was having his 6th birthday that day & had a collection of $1 bills attached to his shirt.  We added to that.  I found out the next day his brother's birthday was about 2 weeks before.  He had a few dollars but they weren't attached to his shirt with a huge safety pin.

Jodie, Paul & Alexa came to watch for a little while.  Paul said he wasn't aware of that Convention Center.  He talked with the General Chair of the Convention to see what his experience was with them.  This was not the first time they had used this Hotel so were happy to be there again.  So, with a good report from customers, maybe Notacon will be there some day.

On dinner break, we rode around Aurora a while before eating at ... where else ... McD's.

We put some gas in the van's tank, too, while we were out.  Price = $2.499.

We left the Convention Center at 11:23 p.m. and returned to Jodie's at 12:04 a.m.
